It's triggered by most mentions of throwing up, gagging sounds, visuals of someone throwing up (even if the actual throw up isn't shown), and any visuals/sounds that are related to it (heavy liquid being poured into water, a shadow in a vomit bag even if actual contents aren't shown, etc.)
Part of the exposure therapy I am doing is learning to be okay with phrases that people jokingly say when something displeases them (or similar) such as "That makes me want to puke/vomit/throw up". I'm okay with these if they are marked with /j, /s or /sarc so I know they are joking.
